We have the great pleasure to present you today a special watch Kickstarter campaign – the Horage Multiply. Horage SA is a brand that has several years of experience in the watch industry and it already had two successful Kickstarter campaigns: here and here. It is important to mention that Horage watches come with an independently developed movement – the modular K1. At this price level, they are the champions between similar micro brands. The number of companies working with in-house or independent movements is limited and the watches are pricey.
What makes the campaign special is the large variety of choices available. It’s not unusual for a microbrand to present their entire collection, but Horage managed to offer with Multiply an impressive number of 48 watch variations. The available alternatives are not only different dial layout or strap options but also in the movement used. There are four movement types, four dial versions and three straps variation.
The stainless-steel case with 41mm diameter has a modern and bold look but pleasant with a touch of elegance. The three parts construction has a lovely wrist presence. The five layers of anti-reflective coating for the sapphire crystal offer a great visibility in any light conditions. The coating is available for both, front and back crystal.
The dial is available in four well-chosen versions. The white and black versions have checker pattern printing. The third option is a lovely shade of matt blue and the fourth has a rhodium sunray finish. The dials are adorned with captivating 3-face diamond-cut baton hour indexes. The indexes make a great contrast with the dial’s face. The indexes are filled with SuperLuminova offering a great spectacle in low light. For minutes and seconds are used printed indices.
For hands, the brand uses the same diamond cutting technology to obtain three-face faceted hands with SuperLuminova filling. The black and the white dial versions have silver hands for an enhanced contrast. The blue dial has a blue lacquered small seconds’ hand. The Rhodium-Ray dial has the hour and minute’s hand also blue lacquered. The effect is sweet. Together with the matt blue dial, these two versions are a little more classic, elegant. The black and white dials have a sporty touch.
All 48 watches are powered by the same modular movement. The calibre CMK1 was developed by Cendres+Metaux Microtech SA for seven years. The technical specifications are impressive. Using an in-house developed Silicon escapement technology beating at a very unusual 3.5Hz boosting 65 hours of power reserve. All in a package with 25.6mm diameter and a height of 4.95mm. The modular design permits several variations: Big date, Date, Power Reserve Indicator and Small Second. The CMK1 is nicely decorated with different brushed patterns.
The Multiply watch is accompanied by one of the three strap versions: a black leather strap, a nice and interesting textured Sailing Grey strap and a robust and nicely designed stainless bracelet.
The Horage Multiply is priced in the Kickstarter campaign starting with CHF990 for the small second’s version, CHF1,250 for the power reserve indicator, CHF1,350 for the big date and CHF1,650 the full function version (regardless dial and strap).
It’s incredible how Horage managed to keep a balance between a casual look and functionality. They offer a beautiful watch with an impressive independently developed movement. You can take the advantage of the campaign prices on Kickstarter or their Website until 23th of August. Enjoy below pictures with the Multiply and the K1 movement.
