The Hong Kong based watch company SD-09 is trying to add to the market, using the best materials, craftsmanship and distinctive designs, a new appealing watch - the SD-09™ Spacecraft Timepiece which is inspired by space. The watch with a weight of 230grams comes with a 316L stainless steel case measuring 42mm in diameter and 14 mm in thickness. The Finland forged steel is additionally PVD coated for an increased case resistance to scratches and chemical factors. As far as I know Kickstarter was always intended for start-ups but now Swiss brand Auguste Reymond decided to jump on it. That’s quite fun as I had this discussion with several young brands during Baselworld 2017. The discussion were always on the topic of sales and extra visibility. To be honest I think that even for established brands (young or not), Kickstarter could be a good lever of development.
