Casio G-Shock Finally Releases Quad Sensor Gulfmaster

It has been a long wait for G-shock fans because already at the Baselworld watch fair of this year, did Casio announce the new Gulfmaster. Why all the excitement? Field watches have always intrigued me, because they have to be multi-purpose, and they have to be tough. So I was more than delighted to see that Komrade watches from New Zealand, selected this type of watch as inaugural model. Surprisingly, also this brand has decided to bypass crowdfunding websites like Kickstarter, and go out on their own. Like many field-watches is also the Komrade initially build as a divers watch. Blue is the color of this summer, and I don't mind that at all! Actually, blue is one of my favorite colors when it comes to watches, especially on dials, and especially with diving watches, let alone blue dialed diving watches that come on a blue rubber strap. Stowa Prodiver Blue Limited; Their Ultimate Diver

One picture, that is all Stowa gave us just before they closed shop to enjoy their summer vacation, but even one picture can tell more than a thousand words. Stowa announced that they are releasing the Prodiver Blue. To me blue is always one of my favorite colors for a divers watch. It must be the reference with the water, or that it looks just a bit more casual than black. The Hamilton Khaki Frogman is a prime example of the Swatch Group excellent strategy of keeping their affordable watches interesting and original. We see this with Certina, Tissot and definitely also with Hamilton. Am I exaggerating? Maybe, but try these days to make an original divers watch. Helson Dives Into Forged Carbon

Forged carbon is an awesome material to make watch cases from. However, until recent it was only the elite of the watch world that used it, creating watches with equally elite price tags. With forged carbon, slowly but surely entering the affordable watch scene, it is now time for Helson to use it for their Shark Diver 45. As the name indicates, does the Shark Diver have a diameter of 45mm. Combine this with a height of 18mm, and you know that you have a substantial watch in our hands. An unusual name for an unusual watch, was the original Triggerfish by Kaventsmann already a bold statement, the new version of this watch actually goes beyond what the threshold established by its predecessor. When reviewing the Triggerfish II it is important to take into account that Kaventsmann is a German company, and that in essence, the watch is a German watch. Yes, its powered by a Swiss-made, automatic ETA 2824-2, or Sellitta SW-200 when the ETA stock runs out, but they are made in Berlin, Germany. Black-Out Concept Barakuda; Affordable With A Bite

Black-Out Concept is of course best known for its modifications on Rolex, but few people know that they also sell a more affordable alternative of the same concept. These Black-Out watches share many of the same features as their pricey siblings, except of course, their price. One of our favorites is the Barakuda. Not only because its named after one of the fiercest fish in the ocean, but also because its quite an impressive watch. Its diameter of 48mm is most certainly part of this, but perhaps an unexpected surprise is that the case of the Barakuda is actually made from ceramic.
